Each month Massac Junior High School staff members nominate and then vote for one female and male 7th grader and one male and 8th grade student. Students are nominated by teachers based on character traits such as being responsible, respectful, caring, fair and trustworthy.

Noah Jeffords - 7th Grade

Noah Jeffords is a 7th grade students at MJHS who plays basketball and participates in Scholar Bowl. Outside of school he plays soccer. His favorite book is Harry Potter and his favorite movie is Star Wars. He dreams of playing Major League Soccer and hopes to attend St. Louis University someday to obtain a medical degree.


Jordyn Cummins - 7th Grade

Jordyn Cummins is a 7th grade student at MJHS who enjoys being a part of Beta Club and Student Council. Outside of school she loves to play soccer, draw, watch movies, and read. Her favorite book is Heidi and her favorite movie is Moana. She aspires to attend college to become an archeologist. She plans to travel to Jerusalem someday.

Rhett Helland - 8th Grade

Rhett Helland is an 8th grade student at MJHS who enjoys being a part of the Scholar Bowl team. He also participates in the local football league. Outside of school he enjoys riding his bike around. His favorite book is That was Then, This is Now and his favorite movie is Talladaga Nights. Rhett’s favorite subject is Science and he hopes to study to become a marine biologist one day. He dreams of playing football at the University of Texas and would like to live on the beach someday.

Jordan Barnett - 8th Grade

Jordan Barnett is an 8th grade student at MJHS who enjoys playing basketball and volleyball. She is a member of Beta Club and Student Council. Outside of school she plays guitar and enjoys photography. Any down time is spent on her phone. Her favorite book is The Heartbreakers and her favorite movie is Be Somebody. Jordan hopes to someday attend Samford University and study to become a Pharmacist. She would like to travel to Europe and eventually live in L. A.
